- Lublin is a transit city between east and west, whereby freight traffic coming from Ukraine and Belarus heads through Lublin to other European countries. The development of shopping centres has been limited, the first E.Leclerc (Zana) hypermarket with a shopping mall, can boast to be the best in Poland beating all other E.Leclerc across Poland. Lublin Plaza is the best shopping centre in Lublin, with a good mix of retailers and high foot traffic. Atrium Felicity Shopping and Entertainment will be the biggest shopping centre in Lublin and should attract all the best retailers and customers, it is planned to open in 2014 on approx. 95 000 m2 GLA. The other project is by Ikea and will also be a big centre with a total GLA of 120 000 m2 and approx. 200 retail units.
