  • Trieste is a modern city located at the foot of Carso. As the main port of the Adriatic, Trieste's port is linked by an pipeline to the Austrian and Bavarian oil refineries. It's the last italian town before the Slovenian border. The commercial activity of both the city and the region takes place in the town centre, where the main shopping streets are Corso Italia, Via S.Nicolo, Via Mazzini. The major shopping centre remains Le Torri D’Europa in Trieste.
