Katowice

Katowice is the capital of the Upper Selesia district with more than 2.3 million inhabitants within this region. The development of out of town shopping centres in Katowice and surrounding cities like Sosnowiec, Chorzów, Ruda Śląsk and Bytom, over the years can be compared to that of the development of Warsaw. The region has some 20 hypermarkets with galleries of various sizes. Like single isle services opposite the hypermarket that Tesco do, to the largest regional shopping centre Silesia City Centre, some 65 000 m2 GLA, less than a kilometer away from the city center. The newest shopping centre in the region is the downtown shopping centre Agora Bytom, which opened end 2010.

Obejmują one zarówno pojedyncze szeregi punktów usługowych naprzeciwko takich hipermarketów jak Tesco, a największym centrum handlowym w regionie, o nazwie Silesia City Center, ma powierzchni ok. 65 000 m. kw., otworzyło się 18/11/2005 przez Trigranit, niecały kilometr od centrum miasta.
