Sopot is the smallest of the Tri-cities with a population of approximately 43 000 and positioned in between Gdank and Gdynia. Whereas those two last cities are the working cities, then Sopot is considered as Poland’s premier seaside resort, a place to relax and enjoy the seaside. During the summer months, the population swells and every year the Sopot Song Festival also draws a huge number of visitors to the city. Gdansk and Gdynia have been the driving force for shopping center development in the Tri-cities, Sopot can pride itself on the main street, full of trendy cafes, restaurants and all sorts of shops. The only new opening was the Centrum Haffnera in 2009, which is a multi-use project including retail, hotel, resort, offices and spa.
Sopot jest najmniejszą częścią Trójmiasta – liczy sobie ok. 43.000 mieszkańców i leży pomiędzy Gdańskiem i Gdynią. O ile pozostałe dwa są miastami pracowniczymi, Sopot jest uważany za jedną z najlepszych polskich miejscowości wypoczynkowych, miejsce relaksu i miłych chwil spędzanych nad morzem. W miesiącach letnich rośnie liczba mieszkających tu osób, a coroczny festiwal w Sopocie przyciąga do miasta ogromne tłumy odwiedzających. W Trójmieście rozwój centrów handlowych opierał się na Gdańsku i Gdyni, zaś Sopot może się poszczycić główną ulicą pełną modnych kawiarni, restauracji i najróżniejszych sklepów. Jedny otwarcie jest Centrum Haffnera który na się otworzyło 18/07/2009, jest troch wszystkiego, detalu, hotelu, wypoczynek, biura i SPA.
