The Slovak developer HB Reavis is presenting the Aupark Košice shopping and leisure centre project, located in Osloboditel'ov Square near the historic centre of Kosice. The 34,020 m2 GLA complex is accessible via the main road networks, and aims to become a major cultural and social site. The English firm Benoy is in charge of the architecture. Aupark Košice will contain 160 shops, including national and international brands, six modern cinemas and other entertainment, leisure and catering facilities, plus parking for 1,030 cars. It is scheduled to open at the end of 2011.
