Haskoll is currently working as lead designer with Network Rail and Birmingham City Council to transform The Pallasades shopping centre. With
a stunning new atrium roof, the reinvigorated Grand Central shopping centre will provide modern retail space and an array of restaurants
and cafes. This is part of a wider project to transform Birmingham New Street Station
The extension is anchored by a new 23,000-sq m John Lewis department store, sited to the south of The Pallasades. This significant additional
retail, along with other proposals for reconfiguring some lower retail level and concourse level retail units, refurbishing the interior mall finishes, modernising the public toilet and baby change facility and refurbishing the multi-storey car park will create a step change to the centre that is vital to its future as a modern retail destination.
The project is now progressing and will open in September 2015.
