Alegro Alfragide

The former Jumbo Alfragide shopping centre (24000 sqm with a shopping arcade of some 24 shops) was totally refurbished and extended by some 100 stores. The new shopping centre, renamed "Alegro" was inaugurated in November 2007. It is anchored by a 19.500 sqm Jumbo hypermarket, and now accomodates new major tenants like Fnac, Zara and a 10-screen multiplex. It is completed by a 30.000 sqm Retail Park. Alegro Alfragide is located next to a strong shopping hub accomodating anchors stores like Ikea, Leroy Merlin... (see Alfragide retail park). Its main and nearest competitor is the Continente Amadora located in the same area. In 2014, Alaska Permanent created a 50/50 joint-venture with Immochan by acquiring a 50% stake in Alegro Alfragide and Zenia Boulevard.
