Located to the north of the conurbation next to the RN 82, the Auchan Villars SC is the largest peripheral commercial hub. In addition to the Auchan Hypermarket, it accommodates a shopping arcade of more than forty units, including a Casino cafeteria, Camaïeu, etc. The commercial hub is rounded off by a range of middle-sized stores: Décathlon, Boulanger, Alinéa, La Halle !, Norauto, Besson. Such stores as Leroy Merlin are located further on in the Ratarieux business park. From the neighbouring residential districts, it attracts customers whose purchasing power is about 10% higher than the town's average. In 2010, the national authorities authorized the extension of the shopping arcade by 6.500 sqm for some 30 new shops, but this project was subject to several appeals. An extension was once again authorized by national authorities in May 2014 for 3.320 sqm of sales area (2 Ms and 9 shops). The gallery will then reach 6.247 sqm.
Situé au nord de l'agglomération stéphanoise, en bordure de la RN 82, le C.C Auchan Villars est le plus important pôle commercial de périphérie. Il inclut outre l'hypermarché Auchan une galerie de plus de 40 cellules, dont une cafétéria Casino, Camaïeu... Le pôle commercial est complété par un parc de moyennes surfaces : Décathlon, Boulanger, Alinéa, La Halle ! Norauto, Besson... Un peu plus loin, dans la zone d'activités de Ratarieux, est implanté notamment Leroy Merlin. Il draine une clientèle issue des zones résidentielles avoisinantes et disposant d'un pouvoir d'achat d'environ 10% supérieur à la moyenne de la ville. En 2010, la CNEC avait autorisé une extension de 6.500 m2 de la galerie pour une trentaine de boutiques, mais ce projet a été stoppé par plusieurs recours. La CNEC a prononcé un nouvel avis favorable en mai 2014 pour une extension de 3.320 m2 (pour 2 MS et 9 boutiques). La galerie représentera alors 6.247 m2
