Bahnhofstrasse

This is a broad street in the pedestrian zone which accomodates people coming from the railway station heading south to the city centre. This station is the railway port to Berlin and from the north to the south of Germany. Passing the Kröpcke place the customers can turn right reaching the Georgstrasse. The extension of the Bahnhofstrasse is the Karmarschstrasse characterized by its delicacy and food stores but as well by its anchor Peek and Cloppenburg. In 2006, New Yorker replaced InScene (relocating from Georgstrasse). The Ernst August Markthalle has been renovated in 2011 by Centrum and now accomodates Esprit and Desigual. Among the latest arrivals : Apple and Pandora.
Direkter Weg vom Bahnhof zum Zentrum. Der Bahnhof ist der Verkehrsknotenpunkt nach Berlin und für Reisende von Norden nach Süden. Am Kröpckeplatz öffnet sich die Georgstrasse. Die Verlängerung der Bahnhofstrasse ist die Karmarschstrasse.
