Ihme Center / Linden Park

Ihme Center was inaugurated in 1974 as the centre of a new district (24.800 sqm, 100 stores). 13 bus lines have a stop nearby. The inauguration of the its remodelling called "Linden Park" was first scheduled spring 2009. The ground floor was to be mostly occupied by medium-sized stores and the first floor to accomodate a 500 m long shopping arcade. But construction works were stopped end 2008 as its investor Cerep (Carlyle Europe Real Estate Partner) reported insolvency in February 2009. The project was then owned by LBB (Landesbank Berlin), which, after looking for an investor for several months, sold it by auction in February 2015 to the Newton Gruppe for 16,5 M€.
