Mantova Fashion District was inaugurated in November 2003 with some 50 stores on 14.500 sqm. Its design was inspired by the pedestrian streets of an historical city centre with typical archways. With the opening of the second phase end 2008, it now accomodates some 100 shops (+ 18 500 sqm). In August 2014, Moma (Blackstone) acquired it along with Molfetta Fashion District for 123,7 M €. It is now called Mantova Outlet Village and is managed by Multi. It welcomes about 2,8 M visitors a year.
