- The Sarni Stok shopping centre is anchored with a 11.575 m2 Carrefour hypermarket (previously Hypernova). It is located approx. 3km north of the city centre on the main number 1 road that heads towards Katowice, with Tesco some 500 meters away on the right hand side of the road. With the second phase completed spring 2002 this added more retail space that was also eventually leased. The 3rd phase was opened in 2005 with a further 6000 m2 being added. This gave added room for retailers like Smyk, Empik, Bata, Cropp Town and a larger unit for Reserved. Ahold sold this shopping centre to CBRE Global Investors in 2006. CBRE sold it to Union Investment in 2015. TK Maxx opened there their first store in Poland on 2.500 m2. A new extension (3.000 sqm) for 12 new tenants (including H&M) was completed in 2012.
