- Praha Hlavni Nadrazi is the busiest train station in Czech Republic. The Art Nouveau building designed by Josef Fanta is located just 5 min walk from Wenceslas Square. It is connected to the underground network (line C) and tramway lines. Grandi Stazioni Spa has been awarded for the refurbishment and the management for 30 years of Prague Central Station (as well as Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne stations) in November 2002. At that time, investments of 26 millions Euros and a work period of 36 months were expected for an opening in 2006. But the opening date has been posponed until 2009 as the refurbishment works had a slow start. 3.000 sqm of retail area opened Spring 2009. The project was completed in April 2011 with 10.000 sqm of retail and some 60 shops. Grandi Stazioni lost its lease in 2016, as the Fanta building wasn't renovated on time.
