- Avignon's main peripherical commercial hub is located North-East of the city, by the CD 942 and near the A7 "Avignon Nord" exit. The Auchan Pontet regional shopping centre benefits from a catchment area which spreads out on the neighbouring departments. Anchored by an 17.500 sqm Auchan hypermarket, the shopping centre includes a shopping arcade of more than 100 shops. The recent transfer of Go Sport allowed the arrival of 13 new shops (Ikks, Swarovski...). A new extension of 4.000 sqm of sales area for 28 new shops have been approved (opening scheduled in 2017). An important retail park of more 70 medium-sized stores (among them Leroy Merlin, Darty, Boulanger, Décathlon, Picwik, Kiabi, But, St Maclou, Alinéa, Botanic....) have developed in the vicinity. Including the Ikea project situated in the same area, the whole Avignon Nord shopping hub now reaches 170.000 sqm.
- Le principal pôle commercial de périphérie d'Avignon est situé au nord-est de la ville, en bordure de la CD 942 et près de la sortie "Avignon Nord de l'A7. Le Centre Commercial Régional Avignon Nord bénéficie d'une zone de chalandise qui s'étend sur les départements limitrophes. Autour de sa locomotive principale, l'hypermarché Auchan (17500 m2), il comprend une galerie marchande de plus de 100 boutiques. Le récent transfert de Go Sport a permis l'implantation de 13 nouvelles boutiques (dont Ikks, Swarovski...). Une nouvelle extension de 4.400 m2 de surface de vente pour une trentaine de magasins a été autorisée (ouverture prévue en 2017). Un important parc d'activités de plus de 70 M.S. (dont Leroy Merlin, Darty, Boulanger, Décathlon, Picwik, Kiabi, But, St Maclou, Alinéa, Botanic...) s'est développé dans son environnement immédiat. En incluant le projet Ikea situé dans la même zone, le pôle commercial Avignon Nord a atteint 170.000 m2 en 2013.
