Forum 1

Two-storey shopping arcade located right next the Salzburg main train station and in a densely populated area. It is anchored by a Spar supermarket, DM, Deichmann, Libro and New Yorker. The scheme is completed by the 4* Ramada hotel and offices. Opposite to it, the first-generation shopping arcade "Forum" was acquired by René Benko (Signa) from Spar. (Spar acquired it in 1995 from Konsum and was until the opening of Forum 1 its main anchor). Opened in 1974, it was the first shopping centre to open in Salzburg. It was remodelled in 2011 and is now included in Forum 1. The scheme welcomed more than 5 M visitors in 2013.
