Rua de Cedofeita links Praça Carlos Alberto to Rua de Boavista. But it is its pedestrian section (between Praça Carlos Alberto and Rua Breyner) which is particularly busy. Although it still accomodates mostly local shops, national and international retail chains opened stores there (Zara, Mango, Barreiros Faria, Calzedonia, Tintoretto...). It also accomodates few independent high-end stores. But since 2009, most of the retail chains closed their units. Its non pedestrian section, far less busy, mostly accomodates local shops and services.
