This important traffic junction is located next to Steinenvorstadt. There are not only travellers from Basle, but from the close Germany and France. A large urban project is currently under development around Basle main station. A footbridge above the railway links main station to "Südbahnhof". With more than 6.300 spm retail area is the new `Passerelle Basel SBB´ the heart of the Service centre in the main station SBB. The bright and large-scaled `Passerelle` is opened around the clock.
