A project developed by Nesca (a joint venture of Adif and Riofisa) which will add some 15.000 sqm of retail and leisure activities (Warner Lusomondo multiplex, restaurants...) in this railway station (20.500 sqm GLA) which is the most used in Spain after Chamartin (Madrid). This extension will be made over the Plaza de los Paises Catalanes. It will include some 90 shops and 3.000 parking places. Project currently frozen.
