- This 4- storey shopping centre which is the largest one in Berlin is located in the vicinity of Berlin Tempelhof airport. It is anchored by a Galeria Kaufhaus department store, several supermarkets (Kaufland, Aldi and Kaiser's) and several medium-sized stores such as Media Markt, Woolworth, H&M, Peek & Cloppenburg, ...as well as a 6-screen cinema multiplex. In April 2012 the joint venture formed by TIAA-CREF and MFI acquire a 80% stake in the shopping centre from HFS for 446,5 M $. In November 2013 TIAA_CREF form a joint venture with CNP Assurances to co-invest in Gropius Passagen, Erlangen Arcaden and PEP Mûnchen, TIAA CREF will manage these assets (gross value 924,1 M €) on behalf of the joint-venture. The remodelling of the centre began in August 2014. The first phase "fashion circle" with some 30 international fashion brands was completed end 2015. The Galeria Kaufhof store which closed in 2017 was taken over by Karstadt in 2018.
