- All the train stations in Wien used to be terminus stations. The aim was to create the possibility to cross Wien without changing of station but also a Main Central Station, reuniting Süd Bahnhof and Ost Bahnhof. It is also one of the main urban development in the coming years as the project also includes retail (17.000 sqm), offices (550.000 sqm), housing (5.500 apartments) and a 8,5 ha park. ECE developed the 17.000 sqm shopping centre which is located underneath the station and the tracks.
