Alexa

Project developed by Foncière Euris and Sonae Sierra directly on Alexanderplatz, the new "center" of Berlin, the five-storey Alexa shopping and entertainment centre takes place in a closed "box" of some 250 X 100 meters. It includes 9.000 sqm of entertainment and leisure activities and 2.000 sqm of restaurants. It also accomodates an hotel, offices and residential areas. H&M, Esprit, S.Oliver, Zara, Intersport, Thalia are some of its anchors. In Feb 2010, Union Investment acquired 91% of the shopping centre from Sonae Sierra and Foncière Euris for 316 M €. Sonae Sierra keeps the remaining 9 % and the management of the shopping arcade. Alexa's revitalization was completed in 2018.
