Luton Airport

Airport located north of London and dedicated to low-cost companies. Retail areas mostly accomodate fast food restaurants and high-street fashion shops but the recent opening of a Kurt Geiger unit could lead the way to up-market brands. A large redevelopment plan was launched in 2015 to increase capacity from 12 to 18 M passagers a year. The terminal will be remodeled to double the retail surface (to reach 8.700 sqm)and incorporate 44 units (including a 1.700 sqm duty-free shop). Opening scheduled in 2020. In 2016, Luton welcomed for the first time more than 14 M passengers.
