- Located in London's east end Straford City is right next of the Olympic Stadium. The regeneration of the area will see substantial housing development providing 500 new homes and a possible further 3,500 homes in and around Stratford. The development benefits from excellent accessibility and transport links and is also well connected to the road network through East London (A12, A11, A13 linking to M25/M11. The 5-storey shopping centre is anchored by John Lewis, M&S, Waitrose and a Vue multiplex cinema. The two upper floors are dedicated to leisure and restaurants. It also includes a food market next to the Waitrose store. In November 2010, a joint venture of APG (Dutch pension fund) and CPPIB (Canadian pension fund) acquired 50% of the retail scheme for 871,5 M £. Over first year, Stratford City has attracted over 47 M visitors (including 8,5 M during the Olympics). Westfield is currently working on a 13.950 sqm extension for about 75 shops under the M&S store.
