  • Situated next to Chelsea Bridge and the Victoria Station, the Power Station is just 15 minutes from London’s West End. Irish group Treasury Holdings bought the site from Parkview in 2007. The mix-used development was supposed to be the largest ever downtown London, including 3.400 new homes, offices, retail and cultural facilities. The plans were approved in February 2011. But the investor fell into administration end 2011. The site (750.000 sqm) was acquired by a Malaysian consortium for 497 M € in July 2012. Planning permission for the first phase of the redevelopment was awarded in December 2012. The former power plant will accomodate a 65.000 sqm shopping centre. The development of the Electric Boulevard pedestrian High Street (phase 3) will accomodate some 32.500 sqm of retail. 2 new underground stations will service the scheme. Project management : Turner & Townsend.
