- Until the opening of the Churchill Square shopping centre at its eastern end, Western Road was the principal retail pitch in the town. Close to the shopping centre, it is still a strong pitch with many good fashion tenants situated here. The northern side of the street is stronger at this point, with Marks & Spencer, Gap, Primark, New Look and Top Shop having a presence here. Among the latest openings : H&M replaced Woolworths (3.000 sqm on three levels).
