The Friary

Three-level shopping arcade located downtown Guildford, right next the bus station and 2 mn away from the train station. It is linked to a 1.100-space car park. the project of remodelling extension of The Friary (27.000 sqm for some 60 new stores) mixing open streets and shopping arcade around a new public square was rejected in January 2011 by the Guildford Council. However the tenant' mix was extensely revamped with the arrivals of Primark in 2010, Hollister, Urban Outfitters, Mango, Muji, Nine West in 2011. Ownership : in 2012,Hermes took full control of the centre by acquiring the 50% stake owned by Westfield. In 2013, Hermes "exchange" it with Prupim (M&G Real Estate) for their 36% stake in The Centre MK.
