Qwartz is part of an urban redevelopment scheme initiated by the municipality of Villeneuve la Garenne, located on a former industrial site, by the river Seine. The 86.000 sqm shopping centre is anchored by a Carrefour hypermarket (12.000 sqm of sales area). The existing BHV store was supposed to be one of the anchors of the scheme, but it closed in November 2007. Instead, Marks & Spencer and Primark (both on 5.000 sqm) could be strong magnets for the 1 M people living within 15 min. Developers : Orion / Altarea Cogedim. In March 2015, Altarea Cogedim acquired the Orion's stake and since owns 100% of Qwartz.

Mais Marks&Spencer et Primark (5.000 m2 chacun) devraient attirer le million d'habitants résidant à moins de 15 minutes en voiture. Promoteurs : Orion / Altarea Cogedim. Depuis mars 2015, Altarea Cogedim possède 100% de Qwartz après avoir acquis les parts détenues par Orion.
