Neumarkt Galerie

A three-storey shopping arcade located downtown Köln on the busy Neumarkt Square and anchored by Kartstadt Sport, Mayerische (bookstore) medium-sized stores. However in 2009, the Sinn Leffers store closed. The shopping arcade at the basement level is directly connected to the Karstadt department store located next to it and to the metro station. Quinlan acquired it in 2006 for 170 M €. In June 2011, Signature Capital acquired it for around 130 M € after the owner filed for bankrupcty in February 2011. Comfort Center Consulting was in charge of the remodelling of the shopping centre. Primark replaced Karstadt Sport (which relocated on Schildergasse) as well as several other shops Spring 2014 (10.000 sqm). In January 2014 Deka acquired Neumarkt Galerie from Signature Capital for some 295 M €.
