Monks Cross Shopping Park

One of the largest recognised shopping parks in the UK. Anchor stores include Debenhams, M&S,Boots , Next, WH Smith, TK Maxx and more recently Primark. In terms of retailers this is the best retail centre in York. It is out of town but offers 1000 free car parking spaces to customers. It is also very well connected to the city centre with buses and a cycle route. Developer : Richardsons. Investor : Legal & General. In April 2014, it was completed by a 12.000 sqm extension including a John Lewis store (see Vangarde Shopping). Primark opened in 2016 a 5.351 sqm store (taking over the former Marks & Spencer, Sports Direct and Laura Ashley stores).
