- Huma Einkaufspark used to be a three-storey shopping arcade anchored by a 20.000 sqm Real store, a 6.000 sqm Saturn and a 5.000 sqm Praktiker, but also Kik, Sport Voswinkel...and about 30 shops. Its new owner Unimo AG, in collaboration with ECE, invested more than 140 M € to renovate and remodell it. The new Rheinpark Center now accomodates some 140 shops. Opening of the first phase : Feb 2010 (20.000 sqm, 38 shops). Global reopening : 1st April 2011 (37.500 sqm, 140 shops). January 2011, Union Investement acquired 94.9% of the shares of Unimo.
