The Bloofield shopping centre and retail park which is anchored by Tesco and Marks & Spencer was renovated and extended to accomodate three new stores, including the Hanna&Browne department store in December 2007. Its car park was also extended. A new extension was realized in 2011 : a 1.400 sqm unit was created in the gallery to accomodate Peacoks, while in the retail park a existing unit was extended by 1.625 sqm to create a direct access from the mall and a new unit from Frankie & Benny's was created. Broomfield was acquired by Ellandi and Tristan Capital Partners in November 2015 for 54,5 M£.
