Nordwest Zentrum

Nordwestcentrum was the first large shopping centre to open in Frankfurt in 1968. It was refurbished in 1988.The extension of 37000 sqm, the "Modesboulevard", was inaugurated in september 2004 (including a 14.000 sqm Galeria Kaufhof department store, Karstadt Sport, E Betty Barclay stores) 1.300 new parking places have been created. It is directly served by a U-Bahn line. But in September 2019, it will lose its main anchor, the Galeria Kaufhof department store which will close its doors. Meanwhile a refurbishment/extension for 50 new shops is underway. Owner : Josef Buchmann
