Shopping centre designed by Chapman & Taylor in the southern city centre of Bath opposite to the railway station on the site of the former Southgate shopping centre. The new Southgate was developed in six blocks along pedestrian streets and squares and is anchored by a 11.610 sqm Debenhams department store. The Vaults located opposite to it in the Bath Spa railway station (to be remodelled) will accomodate five restaurants. It also includes some 90 apartments and a new bus station located next to the railway station. The project was developed in 3 phases for a complete opening in September 2010. Developers : Aviva/ Multi Development. Investors : Aviva/British Land which acquired the Multi's 50% stake for 101 M £ in 2013.
