- Blenheim Centre was a mixed-used project development downtown Houslow (a city of more of 212.000 inhabitants in the western suburbs of London next to the Heathrow airport) on a 102.000 sqm site known as "key site 1". The developers were Blenheim Nordwest Ltd and Apollo International Real Estate Fund. The two-storey shopping centre was to be anchored by a 6.800 sqm Asda superstore and a 5.600 sqm cinema. The scheme also includes some 480 apartments. Although first phase (11.000 sqm) opened in 2006 (including Asda and the fitness centre), phase 2 was still under discussion with the Council (as it also included a 18-storey tower) when in 2010, Legal & General Property acquired the scheme for £35.5 M. A new project for the Phase 2 was launched in 2012. It includes a multiplex cinema, about 12 shops and restaurants and an underground car park. Barratt Developments was selected by the authorities (against L&G and Centros) to develop it. Opening scheduled in 2018.
