- Wembley Central Square was a first generation shopping centre opened in the 60's and located above the railway lines of Wembley Central station. A major renovation/extension plan is under development. The former shopping centre was demolished end 2005. The new two-storey shopping arcade is completed by 235 apartments on the upper floors. It is part of a large renovation scheme of Wembley including the Wembley stadium (and the 85 acres' Quintain development around it) as well as the Wembley Central Station. First phase of the shops (TK Maxx) opened in October 2009. A new phase of 2.700 sqm has secured consent in January 2012 and opened end 2015. Developer-investor : Sowcrest (St Modwen Properties 50% - Rotch Property Group Ltd 50%) sold Wembley Central in 2018.
