- Retail park located near Lisburn, 15 km south-east of Belfast, at the junction of the A1 and the M1 and adjacent to the Sprucefield Centre anchored by M&S. Sprucefield retail park is anchored by B&Q and Sainsbury's. The authorizations for an extension of 50.000 sqm (to accomodate 29 stores) was canceled by the legal authorities in 2005. A new planning application was presented in 2008 with 19 stores (but the same total floor space). It will accomodate the first John Lewis department store in Northern Ireland (20.440 sqm). But this project has been already frozen by authorities several times. In January 2013, the Environment Minister announced that Sprucefield will be a location for bulky goods retail only. In March 2014, Westfield sold the scheme to Intu for 69,8 M £.
