Situated downtown Romford, a suburban city of 36.500 inhabitants northeast of London, The Liberty shopping centre was originally built in 1968. It was totally renovated in 2004 by Hammerson (which acquired it from Standard Life in 2000). It was then sold in 2006 to Cosgrave Property Group for 385 M €. It is anchored by Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and Primark. The Brewery shopping centre is located just opposite to it.
