- Mixed-use regeneration scheme of the city centre of Longbridge, a district of some 25.000 inhabitants, in the southern outskirts of Birmingham (along the A38). The project takes place on a site formerly occupied by MG Motors. It includes the creation of 24 shops (including a 7.900 sqm Sainsbury's supermarket), offices, 40 apartments, a college and a public park. It is part of a larger regeneration scheme (1 Billion £ investment) which aims to create 10.000 new jobs and 2.000 new homes (more information on the project web site). First stores opened in August 2013. Phase 2 opened end 2015 and accomodates a 13.935 sqm M&S department store completed by 1.180 sqm of additional retail space. Developer St Modwen sold it in 2018.
