- Local shopping centre situated downtown Wallsend, 4 km north-east of Newcastle city centre. The Forum was built in the 60's and refurbished in 1996. Iceland, Superdrug, Boots are its main anchors. The Co-Op store adjoining the centre closed in 2009. NewRiver Retail acquired The Forum in December 2010. It will be totally refurbished and extended by 11.100 sqm (including a 5.100 food store).
