- Canary Wharf Group and Qatari Diar have acquired the Shell Centre (in a 50/50 joint venture) and are currently working on the redevelopment of the 2 ha plot. The Shell Centre is situated on the south bank, close to the Waterloo station and the Thames river. Shell will retain the 27 storey tower. The mixed-use project will include office, about 7.500 sqm of retail and residential space (877 new homes).
