- Shopping arcade built in the 70's in the city centre of Watford. It is anchored by a Bhs department store. It also includes the Watford Food Market. The Watford Borough Council (then owner of the site) has been working with CSC-Intu on the redevelopment of Charter Place which will be integrated in the adjacent Harlequin shopping centre (now called Intu Watford). In April 2013 Intu acquired Charter Place. Intu has submitted a planning application to redevelop both sites in September 2013. Construction to begin in 2015.
