- Praha Airport has a long history dating back to 1914. After 17 November 1989 air transport, as an important part of the infrastructure of the national economy, underwent economic reform. In recent years the Airport increased its retail offer. The second terminal opened January 2006 (increasing its passengers' capacity by 4 million/year). It's the second airport in central Europe after Vienna as in 2013 it served 11,1 Million passengers. Within the 10 coming years, further development is expected to double its passenger capacity. Right next to it the ECM group has developed "Europort", a 3.500 sqm shopping arcade and a 235-room, 3-star hotel completed by a conference centre.
