City Centre South is a project to transform some of the most out-dated areas of Coventry's city centre, including Bull Yard, Shelton Square, City Arcade and Hertford Street. It will make the city the second biggest shopping destination in the West Midlands. The scheme will include a department store, 3 medium-sized stores, about 50 shops as well as leisure activities including a multiplex cinema. In 2017, Coventry City Council has appointed Shearer Property Group to manage the project.
