The commercial range of this pedestrian street, which links Place Gambetta to Rue Sainte Catherine, mostly focuses on fashion, although it is slightly more up-market than Rue Sainte Catherine. It accommodates several major anchors: the Mollat bookshop (an institution in Bordeaux), a C&A unit, as well as a McDonald's and a Galeries Lafayette unit on the corner of Rue Sainte Catherine. The former Marks & Spencer store is now occupied by a "Lafayette Men" unit. The "upward" movement of the Tara Jarmon and Darjeeling retail chains should be noted; they have respectively moved from No. 39 to No. 70 and from No. 20 to No. 71, thus adding to the concentration of middle / upper-range retail chains in the upper section of the street. Cet axe piétonnier qui relie la Place Gambetta à la rue Sainte Catherine dispose d'une offre commerciale majoritairement typée "équipement de la personne" légèrement plus haut de gamme que la rue Sainte Catherine. Elle comporte plusieurs locomotives de poids : la librairie Mollat, institution bordelaise, C & A ,ainsi que Mac Donald's et les Galeries Lafayette à l'angle de la rue Sainte Catherine. L'ancien magasin Marks & Spencer est occupé par une unité "Lafayette Homme".
