Milton Keynes can breath a sigh of relief. Any doubts that Harrods may pull out of plans to open a beauty store in the Buckinghamshire town, or further delay its arrival due to the Covid pandemic, are unfounded.

Harrods is expanding its beauty business into northern England for the first time. The luxury London-based department store has confirmed it’s to open its first H Beauty store in the area at the Gateshead Metrocentre.

It’s been a long time coming since the original announcement last October, but Harrods has finally opened its very first standalone beauty concept, H Beauty, at Intu Lakeside in Essex. A second location will follow in Milton Keynes next spring.
