One of the 13 railway stations of the "Grandi Stazioni" project, Santa Lucia railway station benefits from the touristic traffic as well as the commuters' one (mainly from Mestre). A shopping arcade of 7.000 sqm was created in the building between the station and the Calatrava Bridge which opened in June 2013.
