- Over the years Promenada has grown, since its humble beginings in late 1996. The second phase saw the addition of the entertainment section of the centre with bowling, a 13-screen cinema by Cinema City. April 2005 saw the opening of the 3rd phase adding another 25.000 m2, giving the centre a total GLA of 41.780 m2 (53840 m2 GLA including the offices). This phase is anchored by an Alma Delikatesy (supermarket) with some 4300m2 and approx. 50 additional retail units including Zara, Reserved, Esprit, Cropp, Smyk, Timberland and so on. Atrium European Real Estate acquired the shopping centre from Carpathian PLC for 169,5 M € end 2010. In February 2011, Atrium bought a 22.500 sqm adjacent plot of land to expand Promenada. A project to enlarge Promenada by 44.000 sqm is to be developed in several phases. First phase included the redevelopment of the front part of the gallery (to accomodate a H&M store) and a 7.100 sqm extension, second phase added 4.200 sqm (inaugurated in October 2016).
