Arkadia

October 2004 saw the opening of the long awaited Arkadia shopping centre (anchored by a Carrefour hypermarket, Leroy Merlin and a Cinema City), it is by now the largest shopping centre in Poland, offering the largest GLA and retail units. Arkadia is one of the 2 centres in Warsaw where retailers are waiting to get in, the other being Złote Tarasy. Many international retailers opened (and sometimes closed...) there their first unit in Poland (Etam, Bhs, Muji, Gap...). The food court has been recently revamped. Another small expansion is to be completed in 2016/2017 to add some 2.000 sqm of sales area.
