The authorities of the Malaga harbour have developed a shopping and entertainment centre on the quay 1 and quay 2. Aiming both tourists and locals, it is anchored by a cinema multiplex and includes a large hub of restaurants (25% of the retail area) including a Jose Carlos Garcia restaurant (a chef with a star in the Michelin guide) but no supermarket as the opening of Carrefour was highly contested. It also accomodates the Harbour Museum. Architects : Jeronimo Junquera and Liliana Obal.
