As its name suggests Victoria Quarter is indeed an original Victorian arcade, which has since been fully enclosed to create probably one of the most up-market retail environments in the UK. Louis Vuitton opened there their first store in England outside of London. Other retailers in the Victoria Quarter include Vivienne Westwood, French Connection and LK Bennett making it the primary destination for aspirational shoppers in Leeds. Approximately 100,000 people visit Victoria Quarter each week. In September 2012 Hammerson acquired Victoria Quarter for 136 M £ from Bank of Ireland Private Banking.
